Published: 12th July 2005

South Yorkshire Investment Fund's Mentorbank, which provides access to more than 450 mentors and non-executive directors, is hosting a special network event with racing champion Sir John Whitmore.

The event on Tuesday, July 19 at the Marriott Hotel, Rotherham at 1.30pm, will give a rare insight into Sir John's unique coaching talents and how to make businesses work better.

Sir John is a published expert of international renown in the field of executive coaching. A British and European saloon car racing champion in the Sixties , Sir John has developed a number of highly successful business ventures in agriculture, design and the motor trade.

In 1978, John set up a tennis, golf and ski school based on 'Inner Game' coaching principles which are now central to coaching in business. In the early Eighties, he teamed up with Olympians, David Hemery and David Whitaker to form Performance Consultants - specialising in coaching and team working for business.

The Rotherham event aims to help business leaders to unlock a team's potential, harmonize effort and drive performance of individuals and their organizations and provides an opportunity to get an insight into coaching from one of the leaders in the field

Jonathan Dixon, Mentorbank Manager, said: "This is an event which will genuinely add value to the business of all those who attend and provides a great opportunity to network with South Yorkshire business and professional community.

"Sir John works with a large number of blue chip clients including Friends Provident, British Airways, Astra Zeneca and a number of retailers. John is particularly interested in promoting major culture change in business to keep up with the accelerating pace of change in society."

This special event is heavily subsidised by South Yorkshire Investment Fund but there is a cover charge of just £20.00 plus VAT. For further information or to book tickets contact Jonathan Dixon on 01709 386392.
