A Sheffield company is showcasing a unique piece of printing equipment allowing clients to personalise small or large pieces of textile.
DCP Systems provide wide format digital printing equipment for a range of clients, including photographers, sign-makers, photo labs, artists, fashion designers, exhibition companies and universities.
The business has just formed an exclusive partnership with Mutoh, who manufacture printers across the world and have become the first printer manufacturer to create a dye-sublimation process for the high-end digital textile market.
DCP Systems, based at Thorncliffe Park Estate, is helping to launch the new printing system by becoming the first UK company to supply the equipment to businesses across the country after receiving a £50,000 loan from South Yorkshire Investment Fund.
Mike Hardcastle, Managing Director of DCP Systems, said: “Mutoh’s new digital soft textile printing system enables our clients to transfer any image from paper to virtually any sized cloth using a heat press.
"The system is popular in Europe, but it is just starting to grow in this country. DCP Systems is the only company offering these machines and our extensive expertise in this market will add value to any business."
"Printing onto textile is not a new development, but with this machine companies can produce quality sellable prints from day one, create large print runs or one-offs and use it for all types and sizes of textile. It will help any customer make more profit, which will in turn increase our profitability."
"Anyone can benefit from this new piece of equipment, whether it’s a local football clubs adding a sponsor logo on a team-strip or a national fashion designer making a bespoke dress."
"It will be ideal for companies at exhibitions who want a cloth backdrop or for corporate companies wanting a banner, umbrellas or even reception chairs with the company logo on. The system can even be used for individuals wanting to personal items such as handbags or cushions with their favourite picture."
DCP System will be showcasing its products, equipment and services in an event at Tankersley Manor Hotel, Barnsley in September, for more information email firstname.lastname@example.org
Jane Siddle, Investment Manager at South Yorkshire Investment Manager, said: “We have worked with DCP Systems for the last three years and have seen the company grow. SYIF has now provided three loans to the company during that period, totalling £145,000 and we are pleased to see them enjoying continued success.
"DCP Systems identified a niche in the marketplace by introducing the new printing process to companies in this country. I’m sure that with their expertise in this field, they will be able to attract more companies to purchase the machines."
