Connect Yorkshire Investment Forum, 28th November 2007, sponsored by South Yorkshire Investment Fund
Connect Yorkshire is seeking science, technology or knowledge based businesses to make presentations at its Investment Forum on the 28th November 2007 at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria, Sheffield.
The event, sponsored by South Yorkshire Investment Fund and Business Link South Yorkshire, showcases the very best regional science, technology or knowledge-based companies seeking finance and offers them the chance to meet potential investors.
In the run up to the event, each company pitching for finance receives intensive help and mentoring from Connect Yorkshire’s advisors to make sure the companies capture the attention of investors.
Over 160 companies have now benefited from Connect Yorkshire’s assistance and between them have raised over £22million of international investment.
Matthew Smith managing partner, CMM Technology LLP, who pitched for investment at Connect Yorkshire's Investment Forum in 2006, said: "It was great exposure for us. We received some really good feedback but even better, we met a business angel who has subsequently invested £150,000 in the business."
Neil McCutcheon, managing director, Lattice Voice Technologies Ltd said: "Connect Yorkshire’s advice and mentoring has been invaluable helping us secure £150,000 in investment from Yorkshire Fund Managers. Connect Yorkshire is a fantastic resource and I urge any young science or technology company seeking investment to attend its Investment Forum."
The deadline for applications is the 10th October 2007.
